Environmental Health Specialist
Description of Duties: The Environmental Health Specialist is a public health professional whose primary purpose is to promote public health through education, surveillance, consultation, inspection and enforcement of state, local, and federal environmental health laws and regulations. These responsibilities will include permitting, inspection, and enforcement activities associated with the implementation of laws and rules governing private drinking water wells, on-site wastewater and migrant housing. Other duties include water supply sampling, consultative visits and complaint investigation.

COVID-19 Vaccine Information: The Health Department is currently taking appointments for vaccinations. We are offering bivalent booster shots. We have Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson. Vaccine is also available at Walgreens and Tallulah Health Center.
